S$60+ breakfast for 2 @ Wild Honey, Singapore

As I was scheduled for a quick stopver in Singapore, I told Shirley that I wanted to try out Wild Honey. I’d seen assorted friends tweet about this place and being a breakfast/brunch lover, I absolutely had to find out what’s the fuss about!

Being awesome, Shirley took me to the one at Mandarin Gallery. I had the European which was essentially Eggs Benedict: poached eggs, sauteed mushrooms, Italian prosciutto and Hollandaise sauce on brioche.

It was goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 😀

Shirley had the English: scrambled eggs, back bacon, Cumberland pork sausage, sauteed mushrooms, baked beans, breakfast potatoes, grilled vine ripened tomato and brioche.

It was decent; the sausage was flavourful but we both liked my breakfast better.

Anyway my point is, Shirley (who bought breakfast, yay!) spent S$60+ on our two sets plus coffee. That’s nearly RM80 each, definitely the most expensive breakfast I’ve had! F- mental.

So I have to document it and here it is.

I’ve always been a big fan of big hearty English breakfasts (grew up and lived in NZ for too long) and living in Singapore, I struggled to find good decent sized meals. I finally found it with Robert Timms (restaurant behind Marks and Spencers @ Wheelock place on Orchard) and find that they serve the equivalent or better of Wild Honey’s breakfast at half or less of the cost!

Wild Honey rips you off on price. And SGD9 for grapefruit juice?! No thanks!

    • Thanks for the tip! Will keep in mind for next visit. Yeap Wild Honey is pricey but I had to find out what the fuss is about! And now I know 🙂
