state of mind

Thanks to the miraculous wonders of MSPaint, I am able to convey my current emotions and state of mind to anyone who could be bothered to know.

my current emotions

I feel exactly like that.

Something is missing. I don’t know what. It seriously sucks.

On another person’s state of mind, do check out Zeus’ archived post on Jack West, a pedophile, criminal and sly bastard. Some seriously sick shit going on.

Its funny how so many look at a piece of abstract impressionism and think it is an ink blot test. It’s not.

I think it is a good indication of your frustration / angst etc. Very Jackson Pollock like. Just don’t become a drunk like he did and kill yourself and innocent people in a car accident.

I thik what is missing is some more black to convey the darker side of angst and anxiety. Of course, after saying that Mark Rothko (another abstract impressionist, only he painted BIG SQUARES of colour)used to say his dark paintings were the happy ones, and the bright ones were the sad ones. (and apparently they did have meaning as hed discuss at length with his wife what they all ment! Of course Mark Rothko suicided, so don’t do that either!!!)

ANYWAY - I have always loved Abstract impressionism (as you can probably tell) so my advice is buy a canvas and some acrylic paint (Pollock used acrylic for a reason - it flows easier - in fact, his pouring techniques are what I used on my painting ‘nude by pool’ which is still situated in the side bar of my blog for anyone slightly artistically interested!)

Actually, Acrylic house paint works really well, a lot of Pollocks paintings are falling apart as his were down with cheap paint which hasn’t lasted the test of time!

SOOOOO, have a look at some abstract impressionists - I think you will understand their work now that you’ve begun (or continued) to express your emotions in the same form as them.

(Which is why there paintings are worth something, even if a lot of people think they are crap and don’t understand it).

There is a little more to it than that - but, not enough time to explain it all and try to convince people to get into it.

My advice, even if you don’t want to sell your art work, it’s always a good release.
(which is probably a good reason for me to return to doing some art - but I am still in search of some models to paint and stuff.)

My mother wants me to return to painting. I’m not sure if it’s because I have a 1.8m x 1.8m canvas blocking the front hallway, or if she really likes my work! :-)

Giant Sotong - Like I said ‘IT’S NOT AN INK BLOT TEST!!!!!’ :-)

It’s abstract impressionism, which means that it is an abstract representation of the FEELINGS of the artist, and the actual picture conveys the impresion of that feeling.

[See, I do know what it is!] :-)
