finnegan’s & chili’s @ midvalley

My first time at the new Finnegan’s at Midvalley. As Paul said, should have been my third. Hehehe sowee.

Finnegans @ Midvalley

Not cheap leh the beer. But what to expect, Irish pub in Malaysia what.

That fella on top right is Aaron, Paul’s funny colleague.

Food and beer at Chili's

Then Paul and I went to have dinner at Chili’s. The beer in the collage above was actually Finnegan’s, but I don’t have more photos of Chili’s so it’s a filler, just like this post.

Chili's strip steak, medium

IMNSHO, Chili’s serve one of the better steaks I’ve eaten. Best taken medium.

And I think the Finnegan’s beer mats are so cool.

weekend photos

Assorted stuff and photos for Deeparaya, Deepavali, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Halloween, Putrajaya, KY, ShaolinTiger, Toys’R'Us, toes, cam whoring.

I would like to wish you all SELAMAT DEEPARAYA!!! No? Then Uncle Viewtru has something to tell you.

I’ve been seeing some Rangoli around, here’s Midvalley’s effort for this year.

The stage was for performances at certain times. I happened to pass by the area during one of the performances, it was really good so I hung around for a bit.

Midvalley Deepavali performance

They played these tunes without stopping : some old Chinese tune, Selamat Hari Raya (yes I know there are many Selamat Hari Raya songs, this was the one that goes ‘Selamat Hari Raya, kepada saudara serta saudari, setahun hanya sekali’ etc), Never on Sunday, Love You More Than I Can Say, Gong Xi Gong Xi. Then there was a pause, and they continued with Chan Mali Chan and a P.Ramlee song, then I had to go off somewhere.

But I tell you this, standing there listening to them play, I’d never felt so Malaysian in my life.

At Midvalley’s Carrefour, I saw some of the employees making a Rangoli.

There was also a small one at PJ State’s Tenaga Nasional.

I didn’t manage to take much photos of Hari Raya decorations. Here’s Midvalley’s Hari Raya decor for this year (minus performance).

Last year they had a kampung house setting, I liked that better. Anyway to make up for my not-so-many photos for Hari Raya, I am willing to be your DBKL/ MPPJ. Just e-mail me your phone number and I’ll be at your house during the first and second days of Hari Raya and I’ll personally show you how apologetic I am.

This is a backlog photo. ShaolinTiger has a friend, yay!

A lot of people are seriously pissing me off. Will see what happens after the holidays.

KY thought it would be too lonely to renew his IC at Putrajaya alone, so he got me to tag along. It was my first time to Putrajaya.

Putrajaya

It felt like we were in another country!

Totally unrelated, we have freaky toes.

I bought another insurance plan yesterday. Broke broke broke.

SMS action at 10.25 a.m.

me : Just woke up.
Peter : Yao mo kao chor?

Sorry ar for being late. Slept at 5 a.m. the same morning because I was out with friends at a club that I will try not to go to again, unless they fire the DJ and hire someone who will revolutionise Malaysia’s RnB clubbing scene.

Or give me free beer AND let me go upstairs where they play real music.

I reached at 11.40 a.m. because I only really dragged myself out of bed at 10.50 a.m. Then shower, dress, pan leng leng, drive, park the car…

The first person I saw was Irene. Nah, she saw me first. Then Petey and Wuan. Then quite a bit of people, some familiar and some not so familiar; couldn’t remember names to faces for the first couple of hours - hardly surprising since I was not yet fully awake.

Then he got vain and said that he looked better without the glasses.

And I found out the real reason for the food court was because there were so many people, hence everyone could feed everyone else without everyone everyone else else lifting an eyebrow.

Actually this was what the scene was like…

Eyeris summed up the meet here. In fact you should really click on the link because he diligently took down (almost) everyone’s name and URLS, if any.

And SK’s complete (I think) list of the attendees here! And a bit after lunch a dude with a goatee that sways to the right was around, I thought the goatee was quite something.

It was good meeting all of you. If I seemed a bit quiet, it was because I lacked sleep. Also I said before that I am very shy in real life what. You all don’t believe me, your pasal lah. This blog has no money back guarantee on the real product.

Maybe with some alcohol in my blood stream it would be different. I hear that Charlie’s Place serves beer.

Parting shot :

See you all soon!

And let me be the first to suggest name tags for everyone at the PPS bash. Can?
