From Kuala Lumpur to Singapore on the overnight train

On a recent trip to Singapore, my jolly friends and I decided to take the KTM overnight train for a bit of adventure.

  1. One of my favorite trips to take!!!

  2. I took the overnight train from KL to Singapore before… your post brought back all those memories. The train is definitely not the ideal option for poor sleepers. I don’t think I got much sleep at all on the journey. But if you’re gonna travel at night, I agree definitely take the sleeper for just 6 more bucks. We took the standard seat before (because all the sleepers were sold out) and all I can say is “never again!”. I think the bus is the most economical and efficient way to travel that route, even if you have to pay a bit extra for a slightly more ‘atas’ coach.

    • From my experience with the sleeper, I really can’t imagine taking the regular train seats; you wouldn’t be able to sleep at all! I still feel it’s a journey to be experienced at least once, before the 90-mins KL-SG train is completed.
