Things my friends do: bake delicious salted caramel brownies!

I love telling the story of how Syazana (also known as spinmesilly) would invite me to her parents’ for Raya open house. A few years ago during Raya, I was feeling somewhat sorry for myself because I didn’t have any open houses to go to =( I did what any self-respecting person would do – whine about it on Twitter.

Syaz, whom I’d known from Bootcamp saw the tweet. She felt sorry for me and invited me over to feast on delicious home-cooked Raya goodies. That was 3 years ago and so far, still the only Raya open house that I go to…

Syazana loves to bake for fun and profit. She’s rather good at it, if I may say! Sometimes she’d tweet photos of beautiful baked goods that she made for clients. I could say no to most of them as I don’t REALLY have that sweet a tooth.

… until she posted a photo of salted caramel brownies, fresh from the oven. That’s it, I could only resist this much. I MUST HAVE SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIES!!!!

And so I did.

Well don’t look at me like that, I didn’t finish it all by myself. I brought most of it to work and it was gone in seconds.

When I did have them, I ate it with vanilla ice-cream, divine!
