One of my favourite things to do now is to cook a HUGE pot of beef bolognese sauce, then eat it for many meals. It’s easy and therapeutic, plus I love tomato-based pasta sauces.
The only part I don’t really like about the whole deal is chopping onions. I mean, who does? It stings, man! So if any of you would like to buy me an awesome onion chopper that Kerol and I spotted last night at Parkson 1U going for the low low price of RM85, of course I’d thank you and be genuinely happy.
For one cooking session, the ingredients come up to about RM45. Garlic and onions RM1.50. Green pepper RM3. 2 carrots RM1.50. 2 types of mushrooms: RM8. Minced beef RM11. Half a pack of celery RM2. 2 slices of cheese RM1.50. Prego tomato sauce because I still haven’t learned how to/ be bothered to make my own tomato sauce RM11. A pack of linguine (nicer than spaghetti!) RM5. Throw in a yellow zucchini if you’re feeling extravagant.
I can eat this for about 7 or 8 meals. Pretty easy to please, eh?
