win tix to joey yap’s ‘feng shui & astrology 2010’ seminar!

It’s that time of the year again when we brace ourselves for the new year. If you are like Horng where 2009 sucked real bad for you, then maybe you need to mandi bunga or… I don’t know what else you could do, but you could go attend Joey Yap‘s ‘Feng Shui and Astrology’ seminar for the year 2010.

Joey Yap Joey Yap is a classical Feng Shui practitioner, founder of the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics, a global organization devoted to the teaching of Feng Shui, BaZi, Mian Xiang and other Chinese Metaphysics subjects.

Joey is the best-selling author of over 30 books on Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology, Face Reading and Yi Jing. He has also hosted his own TV series, ‘Discover Feng Shui with Joey Yap’, on 8TV and ‘Walking The Dragons with Joey Yap’ on Astro Wah Lai Toi in 2008.

On 16 January 2010 (Saturday), Joey is hosting his annual seminar on Feng Shui and Astrology forecasts for the year 2010 (Metal Tiger) at the KL Convention Centre. It is very popular, informative and always a sell-out. I know, because I used to work for him πŸ™‚ And because some of you don’t really read…

Joey Yap’s Feng Shui & Astrology for 2010 Seminar
Date : January 16, 2010 (Saturday)
Time : 10:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m
Venue : KL Convention Centre – Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur

You can get more information about it here.

So I have 10 pairs of tickets (worth RM128 each) to the seminar to give away. Since I’m out of haiku topics (which is my usual unorthodox ways of contests), here’s what you have to do to win the tickets:

Tell me why you need/ deserve/ have to/ desire to go for Joey Yap’s ‘Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar 2010’.

Easy right? As I am the sole judge for this contest, your entry will need to make me laugh/ cry/ sympathise with you. There’s no word limit, there are almost no boundaries unless it’s a vicious personal attack or something like that. You know the drill lah.

Contest ends at 12 PM on the 6th January 2010 (Wednesday). Please include a valid e-mail address with your comment and please be sure to check your e-mail on the same day to see if you are a winner.

Rock on!

  1. emmm… the watch he’s wearing looks interesting.

  2. I want n need these tickets really badly, but not for myself, its for a dear friend. He is an avid believer in feng shui, n 2009 sucked (according to him) n he has tried many ways to ‘fix’ it. Moved furnitures, wear amulets etc. sadly, dun think it worked out too well. Each time we meet he’ll go on complaining bout life, n kept trying to learn fengshui on his own. He even got a tattoo of some auspicious ancient creaure on his arm! So before he turn his hse inside out, maybe some wise words from joey yap would do the trick.

For his bday n christmas i was stucked without a suitable gift for him, this would be perfect.

Plus, since its a pair of tix it may do me some good too. :p

  3. My mum deserves a ticket to catch Joey Yap in action because we’re about to shift to our new house soon and she’s really paranoid about it, worrying about every single thing. “What if the bed is facing the wrong direction?” “What if your room brings you bad luck?” So many what ifs question. So I would like her to sit back and enjoy and learn some feng shui at the same time

  4. think horng should get the tickets hands down.

  5. i’ve already bought the tickets! Are you going?

  6. You want my honest comment? Well, this year has been some changes in my career. It has been challenging and rewarding, and I find my life now exciting and full of purpose. Tickets to this seminar would be a wonderful celebration of the closing of one door and the opening of another. This would also be a wonderful birthday present for myself in this January 2010! I would really love to get a surprise gift!!

  7. Hi Suanie,
I hope to win a pair of tickets for my gf and i to attend Joey Yap’s seminar. I have always wanted to go for this annual event but dont have the budget to πŸ™ (sympathise with me please)

    Reasons i should attend:
    1. I am very interested in astrology and feng shui. I even got 3 books by him on these topics to learn some basics.

    2. I will be moving to a new house early next year and some tips will be helpful in the reno and arrangements.

    3. According to some 2009 zodiac predictions, i am supposed to have a good year but it doesnt seem like it. there were a number of rude surprises this year. I hope to be better prepared for 2010.

    4. I dont have the money to purchase the tickets.

    5. People say no.4 is not auspicious, hence this additional point πŸ™‚

  8. Hi Suanie,

i wish you could let me have a pair of Joey Yap’s seminar because i really wish to know what my future lies ahead, hopefully Joey Yap could see my Bazi or Mian Xiang and also learn some Feng Shui tips from him. I did buy books on Feng Shui to learn it myself too.

  9. This year has been really sucky and I need any help I can get to turn things around. I am clueless about fengshui and astrology. Always wondered about the hype about these seminars. Educate me.

    Thank you, Suanie.

  10. Oops, just realised I may not be able to make it on that day. Looks like I have to educate myself via the net or any other resources.

Anyways, best wishes to all and have a great year ahead.

  11. Why giving me tickets would be a good idea:

    1. I can have even more fodder to amuse people with during those dead silences in parties. You know that awkward silence where people don’t know what to talk about?

Great icebreaker that – “Joey Yap said ah…”

    2. After the sobfest 2009 was, it would be nice to get a bit of a heads-up for 2010, ya know?

    3. Because you know I would write a damn entertaining blogpost about it.

  12. wildelynnx says:

I freaking bought 4 out of 5 mini books by Joey Yap on Face Feng Shui. the fifth one i didn’t get due to out of stock at the Popular Bookstore near my place. So since I’m such a fan, could i get a pair of tickets please? the other one is for my mom

  13. I deserve to go, listen and shake hands with Joey Yap only to confirm whether he is as cute in person as he is in that picture you put up. okay lah…that’s about 50% cuteness. Besides, I need to check with him on his compass direction which areas at padang astaka should i run more to lose these extra kilos i carry around my tummy. so there…..give me that ticket.

  14. Yvonne Siew says:

  16. Sunny Cheang says:

Turbulences and tragedies are highlight of the Year 2009. We all need a stronger spell of fresh hopes and dreams in 2010. I hope to get a head start from the Feng Shui & Astrology 2010 seminar on what is in store for 2010.

Some of the questions that I would like to ask Master Joey Yap are:-

    1) What is the good dates to start work after Chinese New Year?

    2) What element (fire, water, metal, wood, earth) is doing well and those that is not so well?

    3) Which animal signs are crashing with Grand Duke and what are the remedies?

    4) Feng Shui on face reading and home flying star?.

I believe winning a prize at the beginning of the year significant good luck for the whole year, please make me feel lucky and grant me two tickets to the annual Feng Shui talk..

  17. I want to attend the Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar because
Feng shui is for home improvement, personal growth and wealth enhancement and as much as Feng Shui can HELP us, it can HURT us as well, so I want to maximize my feng shui knowledge to avoid the unthinkable.

  18. Connie Cheah says:

  22. I need to win the ticket for this because I worshiped Joey Yap. I have all his Bazi Series. Am a member of his website. Uses the online Bazi calculator to see my destiny. My neck is turning into a giraffe’s for waiting for his 3rd book 3rd Destiny Code book. Please gimme a pass to see him in person T_T
