Last week, eyeris and SL invited me to a Carlsberg event, titled ‘One Nite Stand’ at Zeta Bar, KL Hilton. With a theme like that, who knows what it was about, right? Elaine Daly as the emcee went around asking guests their definitions of ‘one night stands’, and you go figure what the responses were lah. Anyway I had a fleeting thought that it might mean stand-up comedy, which turned out to be so when Harith Iskander took centre stage.
It was an event to launch Carlsberg’s new ‘Nice One’ campaign. To explain or elaborate on it without photos will take forever. The gist: celebrating the smart, creative, witty etc stories shared by friends over beer.
We had a great time, Zeta Bar’s always marvellous (save for the pricey drinks ‘cos it’s meant for atas people ) and it’s always nice to catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while.
Thanks for the invite

On Sunday Lainie had a farewell party for herself. She’ll be leaving the country for Melbourne tomorrow and by the looks of it, for good.
I’ll really miss you
