It is necessary if it is used for the right purpose, national security. But when it is used for the security of things other than national interest, then it's shite. There were some speculation that a deal was struck between the Sarawak CM and Anwar for immunity (well, if you know the Sarawak CM, you know what I mean) and the entire state will shift allegiances which would cause a domino effect on the Sabah side and the PKR will get a vast majority of parliament. I still have faith in the PKR though.
