walkers salt & vinegar crisps ftw!
My first husband went to London, and all I got was Walkers salt & vinegar crisps! And that was because I asked him to buy them for me!!!

Walkers crisps ftw!
It’s more than awesome, seeing that I neglected to get him anything from Hong Kong, thanks to my no souvenirs stand. He didn’t ask for anything from me also mah…
When I was a kid –> teen, the only crisps flavours I knew were ‘original’ (which means lightly salted, I guess), tomato and BBQ. I don’t consider Super Rings as crisps lah, naturally. The first non-original, non-tomato and non-BBQ flavoured crisps I had was Walkers’ Salt & Vinegar crisps, brought back to tanahair by some awesome people - my ex-boss I think. From then on, I was HOOKED. Where previously I thought salt and vinegar was the weirdest combination to ever exist on planet Earth, well I guess the older I get, the weirder I get too.
I’ve tried different salt & vinegar flavoured crisps brands, but none came close to Walkers. They aren’t available in Malaysia, right? Or I haven’t seen them yet because I am a semi-recluse and I don’t go out of my comfort zone (which is pretty much Centrepoint).
Anyway, thanks Tock2! Heart heart.
And btw Simon, that bag of crisps you devoured at Tock2’s house was MINE! Grrrrr….. die!!!!!

you can get walkers at Hock Choon I think.
Lay’s salt and vinegars are pretty good, but the best salt and vinegar in my opinion are Smith’s - http://www.taquitos.net/snacks.php?snack_code=1155
Meanwhile the strongest flavored salt and vinegars are Samboy’s. Man those would make your eyes water… soooo good.
You want more? I’m going home soon..
BTW, Sensation’s thai sweet chili crisp’s the best lah!!!
omg i think i got charged another 5k on top of my 20k a month for getting my face featured here :’(
but my lovely first wife will let this pass because I bought her not 1 nor 2 but FOUR packets of her favourite crisps hor
Ok la, 3, because simon ate one while watching the Italians beat the French
walkers wtf!
it’s nice, i love it!
Tesco’s had their own brand Salt and Vinegar for a very short time which were about the same as Walkers.
Lays Salt and Vinegar is not bad, about the closest you can get locally.
Nothing beats Walkers tho!
tinytapir: oo thanks, will check it out!
yeepei: ooOoOOooo gonna email you
tock2: hmmmmmmmmphhh! why didn’t you protect my crisps!!!
ky: yah you ate half the packet
ST: i had LAYS S&V and wished i hadn’t. not quite the same lor
ST - eh heh. Now it’s becoming a battle of UK Walkers + Oz Samboys….
I used to love eating Salt and Vinegar chips as a kid. lol
In fact, it’s rather obvious as a flavour.
Considering the English / Aussies put salt and vinegar on ‘fish and chips’ it isn’t that weird a flavour!
The best potatoes are used in the plain flavoured chips. The ‘bad’ potatoes are used ion those most heavily flavoured with the worst ones being used for BarBeQue Flavour. I only know this as my brother and mother used to work at the SMith’s factory here in Perth for a while.
my favourite flavour of all time is still sour cream & onion, hehheh. straight cut, thick cut, crinkle cut, SEMUA i suka.
i am such a whore for chips. X_X
and dabs, thanks for the tip! i’m staying away from BBQ flavoured ones from now on. never much fancied them in the first place, too fucking salty. now i know why. bleargh.
btw, red rock deli’s (also under smith’s) dijon mustard & honey chips damn ons as well.
i just finished a packet. mmmm *licks fingers*
the first and only time i had walkers chips, they were given away free with every copy of smash hits. the walkers packet had gary lineker on it and it was “cheese and chives” flavour. considering the fact that i bought smash hits during my primary school days, it means it was a really long time ago. that i can remember all these details shows just how good the chips were. man, do i miss ‘em.
Actually, i think salt & vinegar crisps are yucky… salt & vinegar anything is yucky. But heehee, you want, drop me an email before wednesday, I get.
cannot protect one hahahhahahah… omg i need to tell u another story damn funny lol!
I would still stick with pringles.
Sorry Suan, your first husband didn’t stop me from eating. Watching Italy vs France mah, nothing to chew kinda boring.
Walker’s are the best! (second only to Lays).. I get my Salt & Vinegar fix from Lays.. the only other real chips brand here
Mmm….Walkers are yummy! Cold Storage has a multipack of 3 flavours x 2 packs each…Salt&Vinegar, Ready Salted and Cheese&Onion if I remember correctly. Was over the moon when I saw it! =)
Coldstorage at KLCC had Walkers =D
dabs: well it’s weird to us here, seeing that fish and chips are served with tartar sauce here instead of salt n vinegar. funny, i never really thought of potato crisps originating from real potatoes… heh
chen: o i like sour cream n onion too! but i don’t fancy crinkle cut anything. dijon mustard ftw!
lishun: har when i bought smash hits, there were no freebies even though the covers said they have
yeepei: ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCKKKK FORGOT TO EMAIL YOU
tock2: oh okays tell!
BH: somehow i don’t find pringles as satisfying anymore
simon: yeah ‘cos you already opened it!! chew him lah
izad: lays , meh
sooyin: OOooo got to make a trip to cold storage!
carolyn: had?
