it’s like that y’all

emo on glass wall

I actually have a rant post coming up, but that’s in the works and I have to get myself worked up enough to write coherently. It’s the reason why I don’t bitch so much on my blog these days — something happens and I get mighty upset, but after a few hours or a couple of days, the anger evaporates and all is well with the world… until it happens again. Or sometimes you are just too furious and dumbfounded by the lack of comprehension on the other party that Reese’s pieces can’t calm you down. It’s that bad.

If you must know, I am massively cheesed off with a portal for young Malaysians.

Last Friday, a few of us went to the Hennessy Artistry @ Velvet Underground, Zouk for an ex-Playboy chick who now DJs and sings who really should have stuck to ze bunny outfits, some awfully good tunes by a DJ whose name eludes me at the moment, free-flow Hennessy, old and new friends, and SS2 Misai after.

The dude next to me is Chris Tock. The gag is that I’ll marry him when he turns 30 and he’ll pay me RM20k every month bla bla lazy to elaborate bla bla. On MSN yesterday:

Chris: Yay Suanie!
Me: Tock tock
Me: Who’s there?
Me: First.
Me: First who?
Me: First wife whom you owe 20k to!
Chris: T______T

In case you are wondering, I really do think that I am a barrel of laughs, in more ways than one.

Got this on The Sun’s website last week:

The Sun's bangwagon

The buzzword is right. Don’t you feel that there’s been this surge of blogs by people whom you never really knew existed until the recent general elections? I suppose it is a good thing that those elected (or not) are beginning to give a shit about their day jobs, but wouldn’t the time they spend writing pointless essays (some probably mustered up by ghost writers) that goes on about their views and ‘concerns’ (that were buried for so many years until BN took a bump just this past March) be better served elsewhere?

I may be oversimplifying it a little or a lot. It just seems pointless to me that politician in the country has his or her own blog. Isn’t it better to maintain one or two group blogs under their respective parties, where members of the party are able to contribute blog posts as and when they like? It’s not very difficult to set up, and I personally think it’s a lot less hassle than having to keep track of so many blogs (with the same manifesto ;) ). Also they’ll need to allow the comments lah… one such blog apparently had the comments turned off because readers were calling his bluff. Berani kerana benar mah ;)

At the end of the day, just having a blog will not necessarily win you the next elections. Got to actually get out and do stuff instead of playing with assorted keris and kiss ass, otherwise it’s just words. If that’s too much for you, lots of other day jobs available leh.

Yesterday me and KY hanged out in KL. Went to Chulan Square, then to Pavilion.

View of Prince Hotel from Chulan Squarel
Taken from the parking alley behind Chulan Square, Prince Hotel in sight

We walked up and down Pavilion trying to locate the infamous boutique, The Emperor’s New Clothes but we could not see it. Figures.

Assorted Blah
