dunia baru the movie: fun!
Taking eyeris‘ cue, this is not really a review.
Which I know it’s okay to emulate & there’s no chance we’d somehow write the same thing word for word.
Because there’s no chance that he’d watch this movie 
Anyway, received an invitation to the preview screening of Dunia Baru The Movie.
Dragged KY along.
Apparently there’s a massively popular TV series called ‘Dunia Baru’ on TV3.
About university life and students wearing enough make-up to turn Obama white.
And this is the big screen version.
In a nutshell, there’s this group of friends.
They went on a road trip to search for another friend kidnapped by a psychotic ex.
When the synopsis reads: Ex would kidnap anyone who suspected him of kidnapping girlfriend which results in pure havoc,
It generally sounds lame at first.
But somehow it turned out to be rather funny.

In another nutshell, I very much enjoyed the movie.
Didn’t have any expectations, honestly thought it would suck at first.
You shouldn’t believe every first thoughts I have.
Pleasant surprise #1: Pierre Andre’s acting was not wooden
Pleasant surprise #2: Khatijah Tan. I love her.
Pleasant surprise #3: Elyana, who was rather awesome. I like her new (?) song here.

KY says it’s better than ‘I Am Legend’.
Wouldn’t know, I have yet to see it.

Thanks for coming over to our lil preview.
I was away on another matter so that explains why I was’t there on the night but I’m glad that you & KY thought it was fun – coming from you guys its deeply appreciated. It’s our 1st local production to be released in 2008 & we hope that it will be as successful as the TV series (which you can catch on http://www.tv3.com.my by the way) (shameless plug!).
So thanks for coming over, hope it was worth your 2 hours & hope to see you at our future functions ya!
