So for 2 large pizzas, you have (2TTr)*2 = (2 * 3.141 * 6) * 2 = 75 inches worth of fluff. while 3 medium pizzas have (2 * 3.141 * 4.5) * 3 = 84 inches worth thats 12% more naked dough! What a waste. So the 2 large pizzas has less crust to eat. Unless of course they have those cheesy filler crust, and thats when you change strategy. yk. One more factor: The crust lining the edges of the pizza is considered stomach fillers.
