the things we do…

A couple weeks ago, we were hanging out at Starbucks @ The Curve, when a group of dudes with cameras walked by. All eyes were on them because one of them resembled an oversized baby — singlet, tiny shorts, kindy backpack, a baby bonnet of sorts complete with a pacifier. “HE’S GETTING MARRIED!!” yelled one of his posse when asked by FA. Hahah, fine… with friends like these, right?

After a while, the dude who yelled out came back, and asked if we were the bloggers Suanie and FA. Yes, we are, and Adrian explained that his friend in the ridiculous set-up, Lionel was getting married the following week, and that it was his bachelor’s night. So Lionel had to go around acting out scenes from nursery rhymes sung to him by random strangers. “Could you be one of the random strangers and perhaps blog about it later?” Adrian asked. Why not? ;)

I received some photos from Adrian, so here they are:

Bachelor at The Curve - Lionel impressing strangers
It takes a lot of guts to pull off these kinda stunts, so kudos to you Lionel :)

Bachelor at The Curve - Lionel milking a cow
Lionel milking the Marche cow. Insert your own joke here

Bachelor at The Curve - Suanie has no chin
Hey look, I have no chin!

Bachelor at The Curve - Lionel impressing Suanie
You’d think that I am the mistress of nursery rhymes, what with me singing them to Ryan sometimes… but noooo I actually forgot the words!

Ah well. My best wishes to Lionel and his wife. Take comfort in the knowledge that your friends are still bachelors, and you will get your revenge one day :D

woke up at 2 a.m. to jot this down

If I were to start my own magazine, I would call it ATANAT.

… all the awesome names are taken…

great tv that makes me geram

Last Tuesday there was this episode of ‘Law & Order‘ (Season 8, Episode 2) that got me all worked up. It was about a young couple at college who made a baby, then the baby died and no one seemed to be responsible (at first glance).

Two maids found bloody sheets in a hotel room that they were cleaning. The police and detectives arrived, then traced a credit card used to pay for the room to the Talberts. Daddy Talbert claimed that he didn’t know the CC was stolen, and that the last purchase was made over a year ago. Detectives investigated further, then found that someone had used the CC the week before; it was Daughter Talbert who bought a bunch of books at a bookshop. Bla bla bla, Daughter Talbert was going out with this dude, Tommy Horton. Then someone told the detectives that Daughter Talbert was pudgy and wore baggy clothes all the time.. and with evidence from the bloody sheets, the detectives suspected that a baby had been involved.

Bla bla bla, according to Daughter Talbert, they didn’t know she was pregnant, and she had a miscarriage. Bla bla bla, according to evidence later, the baby was ot a stillborn and that he was delivered after being carried full term. Bla bla bla, dead baby’s body was found, bla bla bla, Father Talbert tried to take the rap, bla bla bla, it really turned out that Daughter Talbert and Tommy Horton killed the baby after he was born.

Then throughout the proceedings, Daughter Talbert was so indifferent that she made me want to choke her so bad. Holy fuck, you INTENTIONALLY killed your baby then acted like it was an okay thing to do!

The most geram part was, the jury found the Talbert and Horton NOT GUILTY! MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!11111111111

Dude, I know it’s only TV, but I can’t help getting pissed off at things like these. It could well happen in real life too, only that we do not know about it.

And according to Wikipedia.org, this episode was based on a real life case — Amy Grossman and Brian Peterson. Happily they were found guilty, and both spent a couple years in prison. Less than 3 years for both?! Oh well … but that made me feel better and less geram about the TV adaptation.

La la la la la la.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Last Wednesday I called Astro to find out details of the L&O episode aired the night before. After holding the line and being transfered a few times, I managed to get to the programming department and made my request known.

Yesterday morning, a very nice girl from Astro called my mobile. She was really apologetic for the late response from their side, then told me what I wanted to know. I was very much grateful and thanked her.

All this trouble just to be able to tell you that it was L&O S8E2.

I <3 Astro :D

(except when it rains).

ryan being devastatingly kiut

One of the more amazing things about the N95 is its camera :D 5 megapixels, 2592 x 1944 pixels, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, video(VGA 30fps), flash… it’s a miracle I’ve not creamed my pants.

Here’s a video I took of Ryan yesterday, moments after he bawled his eyes out when his mother left to go out. The original quality is damn clear; videos uploaded to YouTube are compressed, but it’s still all good :)

monday night quickie

Oh herro. Right now I am on my laptop on WIFI on my sister’s bed. Sister is out. I am babysitting Ryan. Ryan is next to me and he’d just finished a bottle of milk. He is watching CARS and sorta kicking me for fun at the same time. I am contemplating smacking his butt.

By the way I got 3G :D Been playing with it on the N95; watched a few YouTube videos etc :D Been trying to upload photos to a new VOX account but doesn’t seem to be working. Oh well, not too fussed about it now.

So far the photos are awesome! Took a couple videos of Ryan too :D Will upload later.

Who has video call function?!? :D :D :D
