erna’s blog post suggestion
A blog post suggestion from my earlier post, Blogger’s Block, suggested by Erna.
I think it’s a getting-older thing. The older I get, the less inclined I am to get angry with natural born morons and idiots. But once a while I get unreasonably pissed off, but only when reminded. For example, when I joined the Facebook group “I Secretly Want To Punch Slow Walking People In The Back Of The Head”. Then whenever I access my Facebook account (which is very frequently) and I see the group name, I am reminded of how much I get pissy with people who take their own sweet time walking ever so slowly and hogging the walkway.
This phenomenon is prevalent in Malaysia, where we are blessed (or cursed, depending on how you see it) with one too many shopping malls in town. During the weekends, these shopping malls would be visited by one too many people, a lot of them being out-of-towners visiting the city, doing some shopping with their big families. This particular group of people makes me want to revive Saddam Hussein using my superawesome powers then bomb him to oblivion, rinse and repeat. They make me want to take Britney’s kids away and laugh manically at her, then yank out her silly hair extensions. In fact, they make me want to have hardcore sex with Tommy Lee and contract herpes. Anything, ANYTHING would be more pleasurable than being stuck behind people who walk too damn slowly.

Last year, my eldest sister got married. It was lovely. My brother-in-law treats my mom better than I do. Paiseh sometimes

When I was in primary and high school, I used to hate Septembers with a vengeance. This was brought on by the sad fact that there were no, in fact ZERO public or school holidays during the month of September, and it used to depress me till no end.
September is also my birthday month (I am guessing that Erna has this in mind already before asking me to write about it
). Me and my two twin sisters were born in the month of September. Kudos to my mom for the good timing. If she had delayed giving birth to me for a couple of days, I would have ended up being a Leo rather than a Virgo.
And all that means absolutely nothing to me. Lol.

For my birthday I greatly want $1 million bucks. If that is unattainable, I wish for world peace. Because I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because.. uhmmmm some people out there in their nation don’t have maps and do not know that they should stick their army and guns in their own countries and uh… I believe that their education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, their education over there in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us, by being able to obtain a goddamn map in the first place.

I am not a vegetarian because I have been brought over to the dark side of William’s evil mission to take over the world by serving incredibly insane amount of food on a single plate.

If I ever had to leave Malaysia, the one thing I would miss most is the… you guessed it, food. Where the fuck else can you get a hot piping nasi lemak at the ungodly hour of 4 a.m. (Darus in Uptown)?
Friends? What friends?
Ouch
food beats me? I’m so disappointed!
who else would accompany you to watch ghost movies while laughing all the way?
it’s Dharoos
KY: hehehehehe *laughs like madwoman*
Kelvin: haiyah pronounced the same lah
Agreed - the food is the ONLY thing keeping most of us in Malaysia!
@Gallivanter: And the Americans who visit Malaysian blogs still don’t understand why Malaysians love to blog about their food so much.
Poor William - kena kutuk on Suan’s blog for dishing out what she ordered in the first place!
…
Monyet!
But I is happy anyway that we got a nice longish blogpost from you. Bwahahaha!

Dear Suannie,
How are you doing?
A reminder from Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ) about an important day- 28th September is the International Right to Know Day. The aim of the Right to Know Day is to raise awareness of every individual of their right of access to public information: the right to know how elected officials are exercising power and how taxpayers’ money is being spent.
We hope that you will participate in this global event to raise awareness among your audience, by giving the occasion a noticeable visibility. Suggestions for topics you can bring up in your blog on 28th September-
1. Freedom of Information Act vs. Official Secrets Act. - There are now 69 nations which legally allow access to classified information. The latest entry into the league is China, who agreed to pass a law partly modeled after the FOIA. More info about FOIA in http://www.freedominfo.org/.
2. Media freedom issue- media blackout, media bias etc - they essentially mean that the reader does not have free and fair access to information. The Terengganu shooting is an example.
For your information, CIJ will be leafleting with other NGOs, such as the Gerakan Mansuhkan ISA, Empower, BERSIH on 28th September at Masjid Jamek and Putrajaya.
Thanks
Wai Fong

@ Wai Fong:
Have you ever heard of email?
@ Suanie:
Don’t worry. You’re right. I already left Malaysia, and I do miss the nasi lemak more.
Madam Suanie:
Forgive me for this intrusion to this discussion.
Dedicated to Little Nurin
from a father of none
On this day that I saw your dried tears,
I pledge my vows and lifted my spears,
and let loose a war cry so all could hear,
I paint my eyes black and pay homage to the devil’s lair,
and wage my soul to barter this unjust despair,
I ask him unto me he would give the hideous of stare,
so that I find this son of an unholy night mare,
and hunt him down with out any care,
once he lays under my anger snare,
I will gnaw his heart bare,
while life still dangles in sinful hair,
and I will drink his blood in cups of pair,
then I will pluck each and every one of his beastly hair,
and make a lace out of that bastard stare,
so all bestial man be aware,
this world shall never be his damned soul’s lair.
@Wai Fong: This is why most local NGOs leave a bad taste in my mouth. You cheapen your cause by not understanding the best platform to promote your message. At the very least don’t sound like you copy-pasted this into every blog or email you see.
PR 101 = Grade F
