JobsDB is better slightly. Even better is using agencies like Kelly Services or Manpower and only paying when you hire - it's a bit more expensive but at least you get good staff. While Jobstreet is the household name amongst them, a few of them are quite reliable. You can start with Jobstreet (they have supplied me with some really good candidates in the past), and go on to Zenith, Manpower, MCSB or Kelly Services. You can always use a few agencies at the same time. Kinda like shopping around (may-the-best-agency-win! kinda thing). I personally think that word-of-mouth is sometimes the most effective. We may write in online or snail mail but when one gets recommended by other friends, the chances of landing at least a F2F interview is much, much higher. As for my personal experience, I got my current job at a walk-in interview in KL for a job in Penang...and I hail from Penang. I just went down to KL for a shopping weekend and chanced upon the interview. Was totally unprepared for it but thought, what the heck! Just go for it lahhh.. who knows, I might get it.
