spongefox vs planet earth

Over yum cha session…

Spongefox: I have a suspicion that this planet is conspiring against me.
Suanie: Huh why do you say that?
Spongefox: Now that I finally could make time for jogging in the afternoons, it bloody rains every freaking afternoon!
Suanie: Erm… it’s the monsoon season mah…
Spongefox: No, the monsoon season has yet to begin.
Suanie: Then it’s the whole global warming shit that is fucking up our weather thus fucking up Earth! Green house effect, pollution all adds up to global warming and now we get unpredictable weather all the time!!!
Spongefox: It’s a very elaborate set up.

huh? Why not jogged/climb at those highrise flags/condo. When you are tired, can take a
    lift too ;)

Global warming is good (TM). I love downpour.

That’s not a conspiracy, it’s an excuse. LOL

I agree with TigerJoe. Nothing stopping Sponge Fox going to Gym, working out at home, or even jogging in the rain!!!!
Can even run around the lounge room if he was really keen!
Find a shopping mall and steal a handbag, then run! Plenty of exercise that way too … just don’t get caught! Plus it earns some petty cash on the side.
[Caveat - I do not condone handbag snatching!]

That, and the fact that I think its a very elaborate set up by the various gyms in KL in an attempt to get me to part with my hard earned cash, just to be able to run in a rain free environment.

    ITS A CONSPIRACY I TELL JOO !

why run when you can jump in your enormous gas guzzling SUV drive for hundreds of miles polluting every beautiful place you go. No sweat, no rain…in the SUV you can’t feel global warming either so it doesn’t exist…until you run out of gas, burn to crisp while you wait for help under that enormous hole you just put in the atmosphere…at least the rains warm…

    fox: indeed!

tomato69: neither sponge nor i has a SUV. who wants to donate one so we can contribute to global warming? i’ll even blog about it :D

I have been exercising all my life, and used to do some pretty extreme stuff when I was younger, and never had to join a gym to do it.

And while working out in the great outdoors is always nice, it may not be such a good thing in a big city like Kuala Lumpur. The pollutants in the air may just do you more harm then good. I used to go climb a hill in the Genting range once a month just to clean my lungs and really be with nature, but I get lots of exercise indoor while in the city.

Do you know that there are many exercises one can do indoors that can build both muscles and stamina? All you need is a space equivalent to an office cubicle, and you don’t need expansive equipment; a set of dumb bells and a skipping rope will do.

And yes, stair climbing is a very very good cardio exercise. I climb stairs, do push ups, sit ups, bench dips and squats when I was travelling extensively; especially when I have to stay in smaller hotels which does not have a gym.

When there is a will, there is a way.
