Lol....in the west black ppl oso get it bad and are seen as criminals..try listening to Lenny Kravitz, Mr Cab Driver and you see what I mean. so we have the eastern equivalent here. In that case I'm half a criminal as I'm Malay Chinese. So probably the other half is a Triad la, sebab who started the Triads? Aah...dun play play aah?

Tapi Chinese arrogance is the downfall of the race. I can freely say this as I have witnessed this from fellow Chinese who dun accept ppl of my kind because we are too 'dark and poor' to 'qualify' as Chinese.

Les hope Aunty's generation are the last of her type.

Also depends on my definition of athlete. After all, Sumo's are athletes, so are jockeys, wrestlers, lawn bowlers, dart players, ten pin bowlers, dwarf throwers, cow pat throwers, American footballers, syncronised swimmers ... the list goes on. :-)

baef: well, I think that in itself is somewhat philanthropic, heh

dan: thanks! yeah i had a medium back, regretted it after but i didn't know such chairs are so expensive!

dabs: ppl take things anywhere in the world lol. soon a body like athlete? Depends on your definition of soon then!

cc: i guess i have to work my body hard because it's just been collecting fat all these years lor..

Black Beauty: hello there :) well like faieza commented, everyone is racist in one way or the other. i guess it's that generally people like to stick within their own community. i've heard stories of malaysian students going overseas to study and hang out with only malaysians throughout their education. generally people seek comfort in what is familiar and that's only human nature. though a lot of people take it a lot more steps further. regarding colours, when you come to think about it, there's the everlasting perception that fair/ white/ clear is beautiful. it comes from nature -- like the difference between a clear lake or a muddy lake. i am not implying that those with darker skins are naturally muddy, but my thoughts are that throughout generations, people just copy from nature, i guess. and that perception lasts till today. you see advertisements for fairer skin, bla bla bla skin whitening products... i am sure you have come across certain TV ads that strongly imply racism and prejudice. what can you do about it? stick to your own principles and upbringing, and that is more than good enough for anyone. fuck the rest :D

faiez: true that. every race has its own faults.

EastMsian: 2 hours!!!!!!!! *die*

suertes: 'good' - sarcastic? LMAO

mad: not safe in my area :)

Andrew: the one near my house! don't just hang out with WY, come find me!!!

Just to clarify (as an ex-bodybuilder and athlete :P) that 45 minutes of mixed cardio and resistance workout in 15 minute blocks is not excessive for a beginner, or someone trying to tone/sculpt their body.

A full blown workout can last up to 3 hours, although 1.5 to 2 hours is the norm.

Suanie, if you live anywhere near Damansara area, you should try the jogging track behind Taman Tun, which is off the back road that links to the golf club. This track has a very steep slope leading up to it, and an undulating, circular track which is very good for getting your heartbeat up and burning fats. For a start you can just walk slowly, then do brisk walking, and eventually slow jog. Best part is, its free.

Well, I think people had been generalising a lot of things in Malaysia.

Generalization of the Malaysian citizen:
The rich, hardworking, whiners and sangka bagus people are the Chinese.
The lazy good for nothing, get all the benefits from the government and thot they owned the country are the Malays.
The criminals, good for nothing and poor estate people are Indians.

Like it or not, this is the generalization that everyone knows and understands. Everyone is guilty of being a racist, if not for a lot of times at least once.

I have no idea on how to change ppl's perception/mentality. I can only change how ppl look at me. :) I am proud to be Malay (haiya, house got discount mah!)... because I am nothing like the generalized perception. Even the Malays know I am not (which resulted in being outcasted by the own race kind of scenario).

Just imagine if each one of us do this. Break the generalization by becoming the opposite? There wouldn't be anything left to generalize about, would it?

Hello Suanie,

First time here. nice to know there are Msian Chinese who are not racist! :)

I took a cab, cab man said to me he doesn;t take black ppl in his car but cause I am not black like an African( i am always mistaken for being black but I got cun features lah and assets, hehehhe)he will let me into his car.

I explained to him diplomatically how offensive his comments were( he spoke good English so this man is educated to certain degree) and ppl who are dark are not dirty. His words effected my young child and I had to console her that we are beautiful ppl are not just in colour- beauty comes from within but I can guarantee you it has scarred her. Now I have to work harder to bust up her self esteem.maybe taximan had bad experience with black ppl but he must watch what he says too.

I have to ask you this. What's with some CHinese ppl always telling young children' behave ha, if not annen na (indian man) will catch'. see he so dark one' why relate an Indian being dark and harmful? why associate darkness with evilness?

You know if I were to flw my heart's content I would love to lash out at every Chinese that has racist remarks but I have been brought to be tolerant and to reply with pride and dignity. My parents did a good job :)

Sometimes I wish I can kasi kow-kow,geram tau!

Please dont misunderstand me and think I want to bash Chinese. I just wanted to share my experience with you and ur readers and also to let u know generation that words can hurt. I am not perfect but I try very hard not to pass any racist remark in front of my child because what u reap, u sow.

My aplogies if I have offended anyone.

Cheers
