first day at gym
This may sound like a cliché, but I feel like I want to die.
And I’d only been on the cycling thingy for 15 minutes.
So not fit is the understatement of George Bush’s career.
Nemmain, try again tomorrow.
Hopefully without the feeling of wanting to throw-up after.

Paddles for 15 mins and feel like dying. HAahahaha, you must have adjust the cycling frictions to “uphill”. Unless you do it because of the “calories burn per minutes” stuff. Bad idea. :p
Where was your personal instructor? Or was this his/her instruction for your first lesson?? There’s usually some coaching for beginners, right?
moo_t: no lah i think it’s because i haven’t moved so much and so consistently for a long time. 15 minutes without stopping at a certain steady rate when you have not been doing any exercise for a few years is a lot lehhhhh hehehhehee

lol, I just started gym over a month ago and totally chow-kan-ned attempting to look like a fit person exercising (it is important not looking bad in the gym i tell you). My body screams at me constantly for trying to get into shape, it is happy being itself. I sometimes ask myself, why fight it…
u should at least get one instructor to give u the low-down. else, instead of getting lean, u get bulges where u don’t want it (muscles la of course)
if you were doing it at a steady rate, it should still be ok. but as a rule, if it gets too much – feeling nauseous is one sign – then u should stop for awhile
but dun worry, i went thru that too. it gets better once u get the right advice for all those thingamajigs available
Did you try exercising while listening to some music on IPod. I know that cheesy and upbeat 80s music does it for some people. Whatever gets your legs moving
Feeling nauseous after 15 minutes = bad sign. Don’t push yourself to hard,k..and going the next day is a bad idea as well. Body needs to rest and recover
U noe what, I had the same nauseous feeling too a couple of days into my gym regiment. Turns out that my tummy was empty b4 I started working out. I got lightheaded and really wanted to throw up. I had some 100plus + Ice lemon tea, and got better immediately. Maybe a teeny snack like a banana or some crackers abt 45mins b4 yr workout will do the trick.
Soon you will love the way you look and feel
The burn is only temporary, and puking is fine too. You will feel much better afterwards
