… because it’s common knowledge that if you are a freakin’ nobody, nobody would care to plagiarise ye. Waste of time only.
If you use Wordpress, you would know that it uses Technorati to track who linked to you. Pretty nifty, I use it all the time for ego-surfing purposes.
That was how I found out that this dude plagiarised my CINTA review. Word for word, photo for photo, link to link. In that post, I had linked to an earlier entry of mine (which he had copied) and that was how Technorati picked it up.
Because he sure as heck did not acknowledge me nor my blog in any way 
He has since taken my words down, leaving only the photos (from my Flickr but since it’s free so it doesn’t bother me that much) and the excerpts I wrote out from the flash-driven movie website. Maybe ‘cos Reta and I commented on it I have the screenshots at home, but don’t want to be so anal lah 
Sad thing is, this boy is 18 years old, probably going to college soon. He may have to learn the hard way that cutting and pasting something word-for-word, without acknowledging the source is not something tolerated at institutes for higher learning.

That boy is only 18 and probably an amateur blogging upstart. He may not have learnt the ethics as yet. Give him the benefit of doubt. I suppose I will be happy to read my piece somewhere, from people who are young and innocent, not journo.
Suanie: I used to write for a living, and these things do get to me. It wasn\’t fun spending time and effort and ideas on something, then seeing it being displayed as another person\’s work. I don\’t mind people taking stuff from my blog, as long as they credit me as the original author, and link back to my blog
Yeah, he\’s young, that\’s why I blogged about this, knowing he reads my blog (else he wouldn\’t have saw the CINTA review) and hoping that he understands that plagiarism is not a light matter.
I had that a few times before also. Heck, they even used some of my photos as well… (but there were a few of them who actually asked for permission to use
it)
