i am slim today
On the way to work, I tuned in to 104.9FM and caught bits and pieces of a talk show with Julian Leicester, the hypnotherapist. I had met him before, interviewed his wife for a magazine centuries ago, they are a pretty nice couple.
Julian was famous for his ‘quit smoking with hypnotherapy’ campaign. This time he talked about losing weight using hypnotherapy.
“It’s a condition of the mind”, he said. Now, I don’t know what condition he’s talking about but something else he said made sense.
“If you say to yourself, ‘I will not eat unhealthy food today’, the ‘not’ will slip away’” bla bla “you should say positive things to yourself, such as ‘I EAT healthy food today’ or ‘I AM slim today’” bla bla something about the mind being told to do what you have set yourself to do bla bla… I hope you get the drift.

I feel better already
By the way, any ideas on how to lose weight? I can’t fit into my clothes no more.

Work out, gym, eat less fat/carb, more veges.
Try the Swiss (gym) ball. Its cheap, and it WORKS. Plus its fun. Get the one that comes wth the DVD. May I suggest Lucy Knight. Can get at MPH at for abt 49? Ball + book + DVD. Good Luck

Try this method, but you’ll need a lot of willpower to do so. Just bring RM5 in your wallet everyday. That’s your “pocket money” to spend – haha, just like during schooling days… Weren’t we all thin back then?

Drink loads of water until you kenyang. You’ll be too busy walking to the loo every 5 minutes to even think of snacking. =D Oh yes, I read that drinking cold water helps too. The body has to release lots of energy to turn the temperature of the cold water to body temp.
I’ve always preferred drinking cold water (I don’t like boiling my mouth and tongue) and I’ve never gone above 51kg.

I was 90KG, 178cm, 37″ waist and 33% body fat, Nov 2005
I lost 18kg within 9 months and maintain my weight till now. I’m 72kg/178cm/31″ waist and 18% body fat.
