the jim brickman-related rant

Fauziah Latiff: lalala my valentiMe lalala
Suanie Moss: Hmmm…
Fauziah Latiff: lalala oh sorry that was the wrong song. Again? lalala
Suanie Moss: Fouzio, you can’t sing, you can’t converse, you can’t even differentiate if the music was different for the song you started to sing. Tell me, why are you here?

Unfortunately Ms. Latiff was a guest at the Jim Brickman gig last Saturday at Genting Highlands, so we couldn’t skip on her performances unless we skipped on Jim’s too (that’s Mister Brickman to you, Fouzio). Pity, because the general consensus of those who matter was, she really sucked, brick-time.

Sms-action halfway the concert with Paul:

Me: Fauziah Latif ruining the show
Paul: Stuff a brick into her mouth

I suppose that would have been more entertaining than the sorry singing farce forced upon us that night.

She looked pretty, though.

Too bad about her (lack of) singing capabilities and our time that she wasted. Hey, I myself can’t sing for shit, but I am not getting paid to croon and for very good reasons too! I may be gr8, but as the gr8s come, I know my own limitations, k.

Okay, getting a tad too mean. Must not be mean. Everyone sure has their own stories, their versions, their side of the tale.

But I’m just wondering, how did her side of the tale get to multiple awards and medals and such? Takkan they didn’t hear her sing live before they made her famous? Nobody saw her in Malaysian Idol where constructive criticism was ’seperti mana Abang Roslan cakap…” “good” “good” “not bad” “okay” “I agree with Roslan” “Roslan was right”?!? … and J.Brickman expected to have a light conversation with her in front of the audience? Haheaheaehahehaheae…

Okay, must not be mean… must not be mean… must not be mean… must not be…

Luckily the other parts of the evening were very well-saved by fellow guest singers Phoebe Stripes and… erm a brilliant, brilliant dude… and the star himself, the very charming Jim Brickman. Phew.
