Okay, right there with you all the way save:
"...When I found out that the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah had a queen 50 years younger than him, I couldn’t comment on that ..."

It's not news, as in line with 'Dog bites man', but if it had been...

"..The 70-year-old Sultanah took on a 21-year stud as her new play-toy..." then it's NU'ES, along the same line of "Man bites dog..." Bleargh! SEE:(

NigerLoh: err it's just early morning randomness :)

tigerjoe: 25 only mah :)

wingz: me neither

Dabs: erm, that's the title of his article :) nice input. I know about the Patriot Act, still it's easy to use them as a benchmark. We've talked about this before.

ST: yes that is the title of the article. where there is a link, one is meant to go read it fully and understand the conclusion I've summed up, that is credibility can be established even by one blogger, depends on where you go. So instead of saying, go read blogs to get more insight, one should say, go read [specific blog] to get more insight.

He didn't say it's not credible, read the article.

He said some bloggers are credible, some aren't, same as newspapers.

In the UK The Telegraph could be considered credible, The News of the World certainly could not (It published a front page story about Elvis being found alive on the moon), that doesn't mean newspapers are not credible, it just means not ALL newspapers are credible. Just the same as blogs.

' Stephen Baker of ‘Business Week’ is saying that the blogosphere is not ‘credible’, '

He didn't say the blogsphere is not credibile. He said,'The blogosphere by itself has no credibility.'

And after all, the blogsphere is a collective of ideas, so it is the same as a library. Books have no credibility, but the contents of the books either will or won't. We can find two book sitting next to each other in a library which often contradict each other.
Same as the individual blogs ... but, blogs are like people. One might be credibile 99% of the time and slip up 1% of the time saying silly things.

Others might just say silly things 99% of the time and have 1% credibilty.

The only way for the blogsphere to be deemed to have credibility or no-credibility is if there was some sort of editorial commitee which censors the blogsphere, and as such controls the content. [Much like a newspaper], at which point, the blogsphere would cease to be a collective of ideas, and will start to become a tool of the editors opinions.

'Unlike the big US of A, we Malaysians do not have the First Amendment to protect our hides.'

Even the Americans don't have that anymore thanks to the USA PATRIOT ACT. If GW labels you a terrorist, then off to prison you go!

'the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah had a queen 50 years younger than him,'

It's good to be the Sultan!

'FREEDOM to agree or disagree is the best thing since tenderloin steak.'

I'll just assume you're not talking to me! :-)
