fat juicy tenderloin steaks @ the eagle’s nest

Feel like eating steak? Tired of the declining quality at Chili’s? Want some place new to go? Think that Suanie deserves a free meal?

Say hello to The Eagle’s Nest.

Eagle's Nest, Damansara Perdana

This is actually a community service more than anything. My sister first brought me there and she commented that the place could be rather empty at times. After having their steak, I decided that this is a travesty — it would be tragic if the place closes down due to lack of customers. Where the heck am I to have steak then?!? So if you are moved by my … altruistic, ahem effort to promoting the place, please go have your dinner there some time. Keep The Eagle’s Nest alive, yeah!

The menu isn’t extensive, there are two types of soup — mushroom (RM7.90 ++) and pumpkin cream with seafood (RM10.90). I don’t normally like pumpkin cream but this is all right. You don’t really get a lot of seafood though. Kenneth thinks the mushroom soup is not bad.

Eagle's Nest - soup and starter

Eagle's Nest - Soup, starter and pasta

For starters we had shrimps francaise (RM18.90 +) and crab meat cocktail (RM24.90 ++). Both are equally good — they drizzle them with red wine, I think. The crab meat cocktail is served with fruits — strawberries, dragon fruits and something that looks like mango (was it?). The shrimps francaise had… shrimps… The reason you don’t see it in the collage above is because the hungry ghosts walloped the whole thing before I had a chance to snap a close up.

Eagle's Nest - happy customers

Kenneth had the pasta — macaroni marinara (RM23.90++). He didn’t like it. The rest of us had tenderloin natur (RM43.90 ++) — the only reason we were there, yeay!

Eagle's Nest - Tenderloin natur steak

So beautiful it makes you weep, eh? You can opt to have either garlic or herbs butter to go with it, or skip the butter entirely. A serving comes with a nice piece of garlic bread and salad on the side.

And for the last close-up…

Eagle's Nest - Tenderloin natur steak close

Sigh. It was wonderful. I can still imagine the half-cooked meat rolling within my mouth as I chomp and chomp and the juices all kena squirted out…

Remember, it’s tenderloin natur and not sirloin or rib eye or any of that shit.

Address: Ground Floor 1-1, Jln. PJU 8/5D, Perdana Business Centre, Bandar Damansara Perdana.
Tel: 03-77261220

Just enter Damansara Perdana, and turn left when you see Public Mutual. Smack in front of you will be The Place, the Eagle’s Nest is just on its left building, corner lot, can’t miss it unless you are blind from hunger.

The place is cosy, the waiters attentive, bring a few friends.

And moo_t, that’s where we are going :P

    Buddhist aren’t restrictive in eating.
Buddha did not impose that we must not eat this or must eat that. It’s all just a choice.

  11. Suanie, 6. July 2006, 21:05

Dabs: Anything meaty I post does not apply to you :P

NigerLoh: Buddhists can eat anything they want. Just that some Buddhists that worships Guan Yin exclusively may strike it off their diet. The Buddha was not a vegetarian btw.

Paul: Later your tooth pain again, how?

moo_t: sigh so easy for me to get a free meal hehehehhee :P

‘paul and dabs sitting in a tree…’

Impossible, no tree can hold my stomach weight! :-)

Maybe it should be, ‘Paul and Dabs sitting on the ground on a branch that was once it a tree bu broke under Dabido;s weight!’ :-)

[Which is sort of funny, as me and about ten friends did exactly that when I was in Penang.]

  21. James, 8. July 2006, 0:18

Careful, eating too much steak gives bad constipation :-)

  22. James, 8. July 2006, 0:22

Oops, didn’t see the other pics.

These look very nice and juicy, not like the hard overcooked ones which could cause constipation. :-)

I seriously if whatever you said was true. Based on your comments I went to the Eagle’s Nest with high expectations but it all fell flat on its face. The mushroom soup can’t even be called a mushroom soup as its more like flour soup with oil with bits and pieces of oyster mushroom? Who makes mushroom soup with oyster mushrooms? And the steak, man, that wasn’t one of the best/nicest piece of meat I have eaten. Heck, the steak I was served with the herbed butter, tenderloin natur? You gotta be kidding. Try are trying to pass of rump as tenderloin? Oh come on, who are they trying to fool? In all honesty, I really do not think they have what it takes to be called a steakhouse in the first place. Just my 2 cents worth.

Foodlover: Sorry to hear your experience sucked. The last couple of times I was there, it was still good leh.

Steak is a very personal affair. Some prefer it raw while some want it well done. While some people find Colesium’s sizziling steaks irresistable, some would rather go for the genine taste offered by Jake’s. If u ask me, I’ve never tried Eagle’s Nest, but the pictures sure look lovely!
