I’ll just let the photos do the talking.
Cause:
So…
A while later…
The next day…
Got medical card but co-payment, is teh sienz.
Third change of dressing later (two days after the incision) …
The mosaic’s cell space is 8 squares, so you go figure.
Note to self: undiluted saline (just found out it’s not saline but something else that *seriously* bites) hurts like your skin is bursting into blooms over and over again.
p/s: thanks mom, sisters and wc for being so nice.
OMG, the first pic is scary and it really costed an arm, leg and ear for the medical fees. Got claimed insurance?
Hope you get well soon.

Hi Suan
do take care and hope you get better soon
*hugs*
hey suan,
what you underwent is just a scratch on the surface of the myriad of disorders that can afflict someone, but glad you braved thru that & lived to tell! that really cost you an arm & a leg but allow me to let you into a little secret – medical fees are cheaper if you are prepared to have it done, say, in seremban or malacca, easily 20-30% less.
Lumps, Suanie! We want to see your lumps, not your LUMP. You know, your… Oh, never mind. [evil snicker] 😉
Hope you’re feeling better and that everything heals well and quickly. **HEALING HUGZ**
How do things work down your way with the medical bills? Do you just get billed for the co-payment (assuming that bill was for the co-payment only), pay up front and get reimbursed or get billed for the entire amount and end up only having to pay a portion of the billed amount? Just curious…
Take care! Cheers,
Ted
wah. hope yuo feel better soon.
next time have one of your doc frens do the I&D (pop & squeeze) for you lar. simple enuf to do even at home.
take care and get well.
I’m not at all surprised that some of our doctors – specialists at that, are REALLY hopeless except for bilking their patients.
I was once treated by an ophthalmologist who had a string of medical qualifications (including his MBBS) from England.
This thoroughbred idiot treated my left eye, which was red, for one about one week before he told me that my right eye (which was OK before my consultation) also needed treatment.
He dished out five eye medications for me to use daily.
After using them for almost a month, both my eyes became progressively painful. Every time I had my follow-ups, he told me that it was not the medicine that was causing the pain, but my carelessness caused scratches to my cornea when using the eye drops and ointment.
What stupid excuses! He was try to cover his own ass by trying to shift the blame to me!
I subsequently stopped all his medications and consulted another eye specialist who told me that some of the medication contained preservatives which, used for a prolonged period, would cause lacerations to the cornea.
In fact, he had to use an anesthetic on both eyes before I can open them for him to check! The excruciating pain lasted for a few weeks; even the breeze from a fan or water getting into my eyes when washing my face cause severe pain!
So much for people who are supposed to be among the top brains of society!
Winston: that seriously sucks! sounds like you could sue him leh!
