Fireangel: No lah. Doctors say first child should be about 30s mah. Safer. Less risk and complications.
Suanie: Seeing as how I don’t plan to have my own kids, it doens’t bother me 
Fireangel: I would actually start to REALLY worry if I am still single by the time I am 30

Suanie: Huh… LOL no… I’d thought about this for a couple years now. I don’t like kids. I don’t want my own kids.
Fireangel: What about the whole continuing your line of existance?
Suanie: Not important to me. It’s a stupid thing. If you want kids you can always adopt.
Fireangel: LOL true. We have too many kids on earth is it? Why don’t you want kids?
Suanie: Don’t know… I never thought of having my own kids before. Not even when I was growing up.
Fireangel: Hehehehe actually I can’t even imagine me giving birth or taking care of one. Can’t even take care of myself. I don’t even see myself ever getting married. Which is quite a scary thought also.

Suanie: Marriage is fine. I plan to just sign the paper lmao. The theory is fine la. But I guess I have lots of hurdles to overcome before even going that far. Commitment phobia bla bla bla bleah. Everyone will go through that I guess.

the other day a lady who opens a maternity baju shop said pregnancy is a 9mth excuse to shop shop shop and pamper yourself,and you’ll be blissfully happy (actually i said that.. she said the same things using like maybe 100 sentences, punctuated with uncontrolled gigling). yeah.. perhaps the thought of that beautiful dress will help dull the pain when the baby tears through your body.
of course, if you had a hubby like tom cruise , you aint got a worry in the world.. he’ll buy you a giant pacifier because you wont be allowed to make noise when giving birth because scientologists believed that noise will cause distress to the baby. maybe they wont hit the baby on the bum to make sure he cries and his lungs are healthy. what if the baby’s got a bit of placenta in his mouth and cant cry,and the parents thinks it because he’s the perfect scientologist baby rather than one who’s about to choke to death?? questions questions..

I second that … but only because I’ve found that my Ex was the ‘bastard animal’ in our relationship … so it probably evens out a little … maybe we need to get all the ‘bastard animals’ and let them have relationships with each other.

Trust me! You DONT WANT to move to small town.
All your movement will be recorded and spread (faster than MMS) across the town. Now man will get a “GAY” label if they don’t married before 35.
And in many country, anyone that not married before 35, the job promotion don’t come often, as most company will use “commitments”(something to ground you, e.g. debts, wife, childrens) as an excuses to not promote single male and female.

It’s a different era now. Not only men who are like that, women as well. True, the men’s count of doing that are more than women, but the trend is slowing changing and balance itself out.
So, in the years to come, Malaysia will have the same married-divorce-married-divorce culture as in other western countries as well.

My own view is this:
1) Marriage is merely a license to shag without getting shit from family, friends and other people.
2) Children is an investment in time and effort, minimum investment required is 18 years. Of your time.
Some people like the idea of a licensed shag as opposed to a casual romp. Then again, having children around means you can’t simply shag on the dining table when the urge strikes you.
Of course, there is also that small problem known as the other half, and what they reckon.
Been there, done that, couldn’t be bothered anymore.
hmm FA say she is not afraid of commitment but am more concerned abt the other party not keeping his part of the promise. Either way ain’t that commitment itself. Marriage and kids gives me the shudders everytime I think about it. Period.
Nowadays, marriage to me is just another piece of paper contract. If 2 people are truly meant to be together, they can be million miles apart and need no stickin’ piece of paper to proof their love for each other.

Kimberley - I agree. A lot of people in Aussie keep saying people are too young to get married [whcih is what they said to me when I did it when I was 24 y/o], but, it all comes down to the people.
My Ex was never really committed to the marriage, which is why it fell apart. (In fact, from very early in the marriage she always used to talk about ‘when we get divorced’ and stuff, which signaled her true intensions … why couldn’t she have made a comment like that before we got married! Waaah!)
Anyway, I’ve seen people who get married young, and because they’re committed to each other, it works 100% [Like Ghandi got married when he was 15 or something like that].
And I’ve seen plenty of people get married at around the 40 y/o mark and they’ve ended up getting divorced very quick.
I would say an earlier marriage doesn’t mean you’re going to chose wrong and F*** up. [So, totally in agreement with you].
If anything, and earlier marriage leaves more time to recover and get it right a second time. [While, waiting for Mr or Miss right and screwing up when you're as old as I am, means less time to get it right].
… and now I’ve written a novel about it … waahhh!
Anyway, I am open for all the single girls out there who want a relationship with real committment. No half committments … I can get that anywhere!
