what i did during cny (second half)

Continuation from this:

Mom cooked another huge dinner for my sister’s boyfriend and his parents were in town…

CNY - best dinner ever

… to officially ask for her hand in marriage, the almost traditional way without the cows and chickens…

So now my eldest sister is no longer available…

My sister Lyanna

We also had yee sang

Yee Sang for Chinese New Year

I had my hair trimmed and dyed…

Gold being Gold

Super kawaii!!!

Suanie is a la la mui

I think I look more like my mom now…

Suanie and mom

She kept bugging me about my beer belly.. zOMG!!!

I had lontong back in BP.. it’s teh good.

Lovely lontong from Batu Pahat

Bet most of you wouldn’t know what it is… when I first came to KL, no one knew what it was.

Went out with Melissa and Shee Teng again, and met some more old friends in the process. But they are a bit camera-shy.

Melissa, Shee Teng, Suanie

I went out mamak-ing with Richard…

Richard at mamak

And closed a bank account with Shinn and Ti Mei… it was set up during our YBF presidency period, and since we are no longer involved in it, time to close the account…

Shin Lei and Ti Mei

Well, that’s the end of my Chinese New year for this year. I am now back in PJ. Beer, anyone?

‘to officially ask for her hand in marriage, the almost traditional way without the cows and chickens…’

So, all the food was vegetarian or pork or seafood?
Cause … there … was no cow or chicken … um … okay, Dabido not funny.
    [Never stops me though]. :-)

‘So now my eldest sister is no longer available…’

But, there is another older sister … right?
Must get my cows and chickens together …

    ‘We also had yee sang…’

    Ooo, Yee sang, yee sang,
    Ooo, yee moves, yee moves.
(Yes, same Ricki Martin joke as last posts comment!) :-)

‘I had my hair trimmed and dyed…’

Better than having your hair trimmmed and died.
‘I looked in the mirror and just died … oh, what did he do to my hair’. I hate it when that happens … mainly as I do my own hair.
[Yes, I do have a vivid imagination]. :-)
    Hmmm, he looks Gay!

    ‘Super kawaii!!!’

    Oooo Yeah Baby!!!!
    Ananta wa onna chan!
    Sekushi na!
Oh, sorry, thought you wanted to talk Japanese …

Your hair is lighter than mine now!

‘She kept bugging me about my beer belly.. zOMG!!’

Just reply, ‘Stop it mum! You know I’ve been knocked up! If only I knew which guy it was.’
If that won’t shut her up about the beer belly, you’ll just have to switch to scotch!

‘Bet most of you wouldn’t know what it is… when I first came to KL, no one knew what it was.’

It’s food, isn’t it? I’m sure it’s food. They didn’t know about food in KL? Wow! Who wooda thunk it!

‘Went out with Melissa and Shee Teng again’

    Resists … urge … to … shake … my … bonbon .. and sing … Ricki Martin … tune … :-)

‘it was set up during our YBF presidency period,’

    YBF = Young Boy Friend?????
You needed the bank account to keep a boy toy? :-)

I don’t know if the number of comments in a blog counts - if you blog, you blog for the fun of it. Support a fellow blogger from a nasty remark which tries to discourage him from blogging by saying he does not have audience in his blog. Bloggers unite - support Seventh Rangers here!

Honestly, DeeJay… you are just oversensitive. Just grow up and get over it. You can’t have everyone liking you or your blog (figuratively speaking, because I know that’s not your blog).

I wouldn’t even doubt that comment as nasty anyway. He was just being blunt / direct. Which was the truth.
