Equations:

x1 + x2 + 2x3 = 9

2x1 + 4x2 - 3x3 = 1

3x1 + 6x2 - 5x3 = 0

Matrix

[1 1 2 9]

[2 4 -3 1]

[3 6 -5 0]

You then solve the matrix to get the result. Easy lah! Huh? lol

Pttthhh! None of that is real mathematics! Real maths uses Greek letters! [Of course, having a maths major probably doesn't help me! Now I can't add 1 and 1 without throwing a greek letter in somewhere! Don't worry, we'll use Sigma to do that one!] :-)

Suanie - x, y, z, a, b, c ... all unknown quantities till you solve the equation. Wait till you hit i ... it equals the square root of -1 ... unless you are in electronics ... then it's j. i and j are imaginary numbers. That's not all ... there is even more fun. Just think of all that crap on the board in the movie "Good Will Hunting" 99% of all maths being worked on today has very little practical application in the real world. Yet, you can be paid a truck load of money if you do it.
Kimberlycun - I take it Add Math = Advanced Maths? Can be fun. In fact, some of the more advanced stuff is more fun than the lower stuff. I like solving linear algebra matrixes. Fun fun fun!

AhDave - Keep looking. Just walk up to women in the street and ask to check for scientific reasons. I'm sure you'll find a pair exactly the saem one day. If not, keep searching! :-)

i share your sentiment. i started to like Maths a lil when calculators were allowed in Form 4. Then I found out there's this thing called Add Maths...went downhill from there.
